Blog Entry#8
Since first impressions are the most important, the introduction of a research paper is considered your first impression. The introduction makes the reader want to keep reading. So to keep your reader interested, you should start off the first sentence with something exciting, a quotation, humor, a curiosity, or a definition (homeworktips). By starting your first sentence of you introduction grabs the readers attention and making them want to find out more about the rest of yo your research.
According to UNC.edu, writing a conclusion is also a very difficult part of research writing. They say this because the conclusion is your last chance to get your point across effectively. The conclusion wraps everything up and either convinces your reader that your ideals are accurate and it should hopefully leave your reader thinking in a different way and leaving them wanting for more.
